It was while I was recovering from a double mastectomy following breast cancer that I realised that the bra industry only designs for women with the same sized cups. I knew there must be so many of us with size differences between their breasts — either a little or a lot.

My research confirmed it: around 90% of women experience uneven breasts, yet the industry simply doesn’t recognise or design for this. Women like us weren’t being seen — and I passionately felt that had to change.

Several years followed, working closely with other uneven women to understand their needs, trialling product designs and perfecting solutions through extensive fitting and prototyping. That journey led to the creation of yoobra.
